Obituary of Maurice E. Braman

Maurice E. Braman 3/13/1932 - 4/26/2013 Maurice Edward Braman, 81, of Apalachin, NY passed away April 26, 2013 at Lourdes Hospital Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, May Braman, at home. He is predeceased by his parents, Helen Way Braman and Edward H. Braman. He is survived by his children: Lorraine (Randy) Barbarash, Chester, NY, Peggy (Steven) Bruzee, Phelps, NY, Michael (JoAnne) Braman, Raleigh, NC, Jean (Arthur) Herbert, Elmira, NY, Daniel (Amy) Braman, Owego, NY, Thomas (Tammy) Braman, Apalachin, NY. Grandchildren: David Barbarash, Laurie Jones, Julie (Justin) Roloson, Erica Cutchins (Joshua), Michael Braman (Toshia), Amanda Braman (Sean), Patrick Delaney, John (Tammi) Herbert, Joshua Braman (Sara), Christopher Braman, Natalie Braman, Dalton Braman. Great Grandchildren: Elliana Roloson, Hannah Braman, Destiny Braman, Alana Delaney, Mikala and Zaine Herbert, Alyssa and Joshua Cutchins II and another due in May. He is also survived by his sister Carol Van Kuren and brother Duane (Shirley) Braman and many nieces and nephews. Maurice was a Korean War Veteran and a life member of Sampson Air Force Base Veteran's Association. He was a past member of the Apalachin Fire Department and Shirts 'n' Skirts and Shufflin' Shoes Square Dance clubs. Over the years he was active with a bicycle repair business, furniture repair and still had a wood shop. He was active with the Waterman Conservation Center as a volunteer naturalist, garden club member and made many wood projects for them. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, wood working and helping family members with various projects. Funeral Services for Maurice will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1 PM from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 6519 St. Rt. 434, Apalachin. Burial services with full military honors will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin. The family will receive their friends on Monday from 11 AM until the time of service.
