Obituary of Donald S. Billings
Donald S. Billings of Endicott Korean War Veteran Donald S. Billings, 79 passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the New York State Veteran's Home, Oxford, N.Y. A lifetime Endicott resident and son of deceased parents, Stanley and Ruie, he leaves behind his brother, Charles Sr.; and nephews, Charles Jr., Nicholas and Robert; as well as his grandnephew and niece, Ryan and Christina. Donald served in the United States Army and saw active duty in the Korean War where he received a combat infantry badge and a bronze star. He later went on to work for over 35 years at ANSCO of Johnson City as a film developer. He was an avid bowler and baseball fan and he liked to travel and take pictures. A funeral service for Donald will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott at 11 a.m. The Rev. Douglas A. Clark, pastor of the Central United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
