Obituary of William J. Guiles

William John Guiles William John Guiles, 64 of Endicott, received his "ultimate healing" from cancer June 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Bill was born December 26, 1948 in Johnson City. The son of William John Francis Guiles and Lois Irene Lane Guiles who predeceased him. He is the beloved father of Valerie Guiles of Endicott, John Guiles of Vestal, and Amy Guiles of Binghamton. Bill was taught to hunt and fish by his father at an early age and he loved to do both each year until his health prevented it. Bill is survived by sisters, Cheryl (Rev. Steven) Benner of Circleville, OH, and Debra (Paul) Schiff of Circleville, OH; brothers, Robert (Kathleen) Guiles of Binghamton, and Randy (Pam) Guiles of Circleville, OH. Bill is also survived by a wonderful, loving friend of 47 years, Bernadette Gransbury, affectionately known as Birdie. Friends may call at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main Street, Endicott on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. There will be a two-hour viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 12 noon. The Rev. Arthur Penird of the Endwell Christian Union Church will be officiating. Burial will be at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. Memorial contributions may be made to the P.A.L. Camp (Police Athletic League) Police Athletic League, PO Box 1472, Binghamton NY 13902. Bill was a fighter every step of the way against this terrible disease. He is now at peace, no more pain and safe in the arms of our Heavenly Father. We will always love you and miss seeing the "Billy Look," when you didn't agree with him.
