Obituary of Charles F Jones

Charles "Chuck" Jones Charles F. Jones, "Chuck", passed away Tuesday evening, July 23, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Hildegarde; step mother, Lena Jones; wife, Carol Wanck Jones; grandson, Shane Spiegel; and sister, Rita Jones Wanck. He is survived by his wife, Gwen; daughter and son-in-law Hilda and Steve Spiegel; grandchildren, Aaron, Jessica, Roger Spiegel and 3 great grandchildren. Also stepsons, Dave and Tom Hall. Chuck was a veteran of WWII (2nd Marine Division) and Korean War, and also a member of American Legion Post 401. In addition, he was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Owego, NY, and Waterman Conservation Center, Apalachin, NY and various senior citizens groups. He was a mechanic by trade working locally for many years. Thanks to the Guthrie medical care and Robert Packer Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a charity of one's choice. He will be greatly missed. Funeral and interment services will be held Friday, at 6 P.M. from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott. Fr. Geoff Doolittle, Rector of his church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Friday from 5 P.M. until service time at 6.
