Obituary of Bernard Letner

Bernard J. Letner Bernard J. "Bernie" Letner, 55 of Apalachin, NY passed away peacefully at home after an unsuccessful fight against cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Bernard R. Letner. Bernie is survived by his mother, Marlene; brothers, John (Kim) Bloomington IN, David Las Vegas NV, Michael (Tammy Delano) Rome NY; sister Karen Letner-Carratelli (Joe). Also surviving are his niece and nephews Lindsay, Lucas and Logan Letner, Aunt Diane Canter and many cousins. Bernie was an avid chess player and a member of the United States and New York Chess Federation. He was also a fan of Notre Dame University and the San Francisco 49ers.
