Cornelia M. (Corney) Standish
Cornelia M. (Corney) Standish, 85, of Endicott, went to be with the Lord Wednesday night, October 9, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard W. Standish, and parents, Joseph and Waleria Kulikowski. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Deborah and John and Tracey; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and James Blamphin; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Sally Ziemba; and brother-in-law Ronald (Moe) Standish. She raised her three children, then went to work as a short-order-cook at Ideal Lanes in Endicott. She was an active member of St. Casimir's Church in Endicott; was a volunteer at and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Endicott Elks Lodge, BPOE #1977; and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #1700 of West Endicott.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Parish, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Rev. James Serowick, Pastor of St. Anthony's Parish, and Rev. Matthew Wieczorek, Pastor Emeritus of St. Casimir's Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Food For The Poor (FoodForThePoor.org).
