Obituary of Dorothy I Gurney

Dorothy I. Gurney Dorothy I. Gurney, 91, of Vestal went to be with the Lord Thursday October 10, 2013 at the Willow Point Nursing Home. She was predeacesed by her husband Fennimore Gurney. She is survived by her four children, Bonnie Darby, Barbara Gurney, Bruce Gurney, and Bernard Gurney; six grandchildren, Michael Darby, Melissa Darby, Matthew (Christine) Darby, Meaghan Darby, Adam Gurney, and David Stacconi; six great grandchildren, Makenzie, Josely, Austin, Leland, Nathaniel, and Natalie; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy attended the Endicott Assembly of God Church in Vestal Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and was very generous and would always put others ahead of herself. Her love of country music and her Irish heritage will be missed by her family and everyone who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Point Nursing home for their loving care of Dorothy. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11AM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home LLC, 300 East Main St, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tues. from 5-7PM & Wed. from 10AM until service time at 11.
