Obituary of Steven W Cannon

Steven W. Cannon Endicott: Steven W. Cannon, 86, of Endicott, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Ideal Nursing Home. He was born in Endicott on October 26, 1926. He was predeceased by parents, Reva and Joseph Cannon; stepfather, Beverly Prince; brother, James; and sisters, Mable, Veta, Mary, Viola; and son, Gary. He is survived by loving wife, Shirley, of 62 years; and sons, Steven and Jeffrey; daughters-in-law, Mary, Kathy, and Sue; grandchildren, Jeremy, Kevin, Eric, and Robert and their spouses, Amy and Cecelia; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alyse, and Isadora; brothers, Jack, Jerry, Harold; and sisters, Ruth, Gale, Sharon; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Endwell United Methodist Church. He was a WWII veteran of the Navy in the Pacific Theater. He worked many years at Endicott Johnson and worked at and retired from IBM. He loved fishing and camping in his younger years and vacationing Cape May, NY. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and had many friends who knew him as the nicest guy. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Jose Valencia will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott, with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11.
