Obituary of Betty M. Payne

Betty M. Payne Betty M. Payne, 82, of Apalachin went to be with her dear lord and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. She was Predeceased by her two brothers, Norman and Richard Wood. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert of Apalachin, four children and their spouses, Sharon and Joseph Gould of Binghamton, Bonnie and Bruce Lillie of Apalachin, Gary and Susan Payne of Apalachin, Ken and Carol Payne of Apalachin. 15 grand-children, Matthew Gibbons Rachel Webb, Brandi Brunkow, Christopher Lillie, Jennifer Beltran, Kimberly Gibbs, Jameson Lillie, Sterling Payne, Victoria Payne, Christopher Butler, Justyn Butler, Ashley Butler, Amie Sorber, Timothy Payne, Lisa Bertoni, 25 great- grandchildren, a sister Elsie Belanger of Taylor, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the South Apalachin Baptist Church, Betty was president of the Christian Business and Professional Women's local chapter,she was involved with the insurance professional association and was the recipient of the Insurance Woman of the Year in 1993. She was employed by the Norman A. Boyd Insurance Agency. For most of her life Betty was involved in insurance until her retirement in 1993. For 17 years Betty resided in the Sun and Fun Mobile Home Park in Fort Myers Florida and was an avid visitor to Disney World for many years. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00a.m., from the South Apalachin Baptist Church, Pennsylvania Ave Apalachin. The Rev. Dan Crane, Pastor of her church will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will received friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC. 6519 State Route 434 Apalachin, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10AM until service time at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Maple Ridge Ranch formerly El Rancho De Pas, 2157 Montrose Turnpike, Owego, NY 13827 or to Apalachin Volunteer Emergency Squad, P.O.
