Obituary of William A. Rozelle

William A. Rozelle of Maine, N.Y. William A. Rozelle, 68, of Maine, died Friday, January 30, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, after a long battle with respiratory illness. He was born in the Town of Maine, where he spent his whole life. He graduated from Vestal High School and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was self-employed and owned and operated Larry and William Rozelle Construction Co. He was also a retired employee of the Town of Maine Highway Dept. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Evelyn Rozelle; sisters, Rayola Stevens and Joyce Tennant; his mother-in-law, Doris Lippolis; and son-in-law, Dennis Perkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Roseann; three daughters, Debbie Perkins, Rebecca Rozelle, Billie Jo Rozelle, all of Maine; three grandchildren, Larry Rozelle and his wife Colleen, Kacey Rozelle and Joseph Pero; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Carly Rozelle; two sisters, Wilma Williams and Wahnita Kizale; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Donnie Williams; also his faithful companion, Sporty. The Funeral Service will be held 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, and 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Rosary Church, Main St., Maine, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the Maine Volunteer Emergency Squad and the nursing staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for their care.
