Obituary of Roger H. Shults

Roger H. Shults Roger H. Shults, 80, of Endicott, passed away Sunday February 23, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Gottfred and Mable Shults; sister, Lucille Stasko; brother, Lewis Shults; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Annette and Robert Hill; best friend, Thomas Martin. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Charlotte (Main) Shults; his children, Catherine (Dirk) Sorber, Carrie Witter, Eric (Kim) Shults; grandchildren, Amber Litle (Gary Bonick), Joshua (Rachel) Witter, Nathan (Rhonda) Sorber, Cody Shults (Jill Ippolito), Jesse Witter (Elizabeth Bodnar), Emily Sorber (Michael Riley); four great granddaughters, Olivia, Isabella, Zo & Klo; sister-in-law, Barbara (David Brooker); brother-in-law, George Stasko; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Roger was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Endicott. He retired from the IBM Corp. after 40 years of employment. He was a US Navy veteran and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors and scouting. A funeral service will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St. Endicott on Wednesday at 12 p.m. Rev. Mark Marino, pastor of his church, will officiate. Private burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Roger may be made to Camp Tuscarora, Boy Scouts of America Baden-Powell Council, 2150 NY Rt. 12, Binghamton, NY 13901.
