Obituary of Sharon Allen

Sharon Brown Allen Of Los Angeles, California Sharon Brown Allen, age 65, died on June 15, 2007. She was born November 12, 1941, in the Town of Endicott, to the late Joseph and Eldora Brown, who lived in Maine, NY. She attended Maine Memorial Grade School and graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1959. In June of the same year, she was married to John Paul Allen in Maine. Before moving to Los Angeles, California in 1962, Sharon lived in Hawaii and often fondly remembered her time there. She was eventually joined in Los Angeles by her mother and niece. Sharon worked for more than 30 years as a customer service representative at Square H. Brands meat packing company. A lifelong country music fan, Sharon served as the president of country singer, Billy Mizes fan club. Many will also remember her love of George Strait. Most unique to a woman of her time, she was an avid sports fan a passion that began as a young girl watching sports with her father and continued throughout her life. She followed all sports and knew the players and the game statistics better than most sports announcers. Sharon was quoted from time to time in various sports columns. Sharon is survived by her sister, Shirley Shovlowsky and her fianc, Robert Brocious; her nieces, Sasha Shovlowsky, Laura Espinoza and her husband, Joseph; her aunt, Shirley McManus; and her cousins, Eve Vallese and her husband, Rolland; Nellie Schaefer and her husband, Stephen, and Gary McManus and his wife, Marian. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends who loved her very much. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her ex-husband, John Allen; and her beloved, Clarence Lee. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 29, at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends 5:00 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
