Obituary of James Joseph Ganim

James Joseph Ganim, 94, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2007, at his daughter's home in Saratoga Springs, New York. Born on June 20, 1913, he was the son of the late Joseph Jacob and Asma Khoury Ganim; and was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Kurey Ganim; and his brothers, Lawrence and Louis Ganim. James served in the 452nd Military Police Escort Guard Company in the European Theater of Operations in the Second World War and retired from Endicott Johnson and GAF Corporations in 1978. He lived in Morlando Drive in West Corners for over 50 years. He is survived by his sister, Madeleine Pessagno, Chiavari, Italy; daughters, Carol Gregorio, Plymouth, Massachusetts and Darrice Kelley, Saratoga Springs; and his son, Ronald Ganim, Glenview, Illinois. Other survivors include his son-in-law, John Kelley; daughter-in-law, Ingrid Ganim; grandchildren, Laura Tanguilig, Linda Gregorio, and John Gregorio, Matthew and David Kelley, Christina and Jeffrey Ganim; and great-grandchildren, Grace, Vincent, Steven, and Paula Tanguilig and John and Gabriella Gregorio. Friends and family may visit 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the same day at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main St., Endicott, NY. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael T. McCarville for his compassionate care over many years.
