Obituary of David Blaise

David P. Blaise of Vestal David P. Blaise, 59, of Vestal, formerly of Beacon, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly at his home, Friday, February 13, 2009. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Anthony Blake, Beacon, N.Y.; one son, Gary Blaise and Amanda Pereira, Fall River, Mass.; three grandsons, Bradley, Alexander, and Ryan. David was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. He was the recipient of both the Purple Heart and the Silver Star Medal. David retired from the N.Y.S. Department of Corrections after working a combined total of 34 years at the Fishkill and Shawangunk Facilities. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved dirt motor sports. He was a fellow member of the Ulster 4. He will be missed. At David's request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott, N.Y.
