Hugh E. Dean Of Endicott Hugh E. Dean, 90, of Endicott, passed away Thursday morning, September 6, 2007, at the Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by three brothers, Paul E. Dean, Robert M. Dean, and Joseph H. Dean. He is survived by his wife, Helen Dean, Endicott; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Alice Janick, New Hartford, NY, Carol and John Privitera, Williamsville, NY, Doris and Richard Brzyski, Rochester, Minn; grandchildren, Cory, Colin Janick, Rochester, and Kathleen Privitera, Williamsville, NY, one great-granchild, Mariella Janick, Rochester; several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a former Postmaster at the Vestal Post Office, he was a retired employee of IBM Endicott with 31 years of service and a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Endicott. He enjoyed world travel and gardening. He was an avid Mets fan and a champion domino player. A masterful storyteller and humorist, he ws also the epitome of good neighborliness. He was a devoted family man who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. br> Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc. 765 Main St., Vestal. The Rev. Douglas Clark, Pastor of his church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 11:00 until service time at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Wyoming Childrens Home, Chenango St., Hillcrest, NY.
