Richard E. Ross Of Maine, NY Richard E. Ross, 82, of Maine, NY, went home to be with his grandson, Nick, and the Lord, Friday, September 14, 2007. He is predeceased by his grandson, Nickalos R. Ross on September 9, 2007; and his granddaughter, Nicole Cornell. He is also predeceased by his son-in-law, Timothy Olenski. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Celia, Maine, NY; his children, Elizabeth (Liz) and Francis Fisher, Endicott, Pam Olenski, Maine, NY, Donna and Robert Gemmel, Apalachin, Cheryl and James Cornell, Endwell, Richard and Kathi Ross, Endicott; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. He was a member of the Maine American Legion Post #1390. He was a member of the Nanticoke United Methodist Church and loved hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening. Richard also loved his time in Florida during the winter season. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at the Coleman &Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main ST., Endicott. The Rev. Dean Masland, Pastor of his church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Maine Cemetery, Maine, NY.
