James J. Bailey Of Owego James J. Bailey went to his eternal home, Sunday, September 23, 2007, at his home, leaving behind these words as his testimony, I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept my Faith. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn and their son, Michael Bailey. He is survived by his loving wife, Alma L. Bailey; one grandson, Mike (Aubrey) Bailey; one granddaughter, Christa (Dan) Perry; and five great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Bernadette (Dave) Hillis; four step daughters, Darla Dunn (Harlan), Chery Dunn (Harold), Sheila (Ron) Weaver, Kimberly (Eddy) Stephens; five step grandchildren. He was always faithful to his God, his family and his country. He will forever live on in the hearts of his family and his many friends, until we meet again on Heavens Shore. We will always love you, Semper Fi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. from the Church of the Nazarene, 1385 Union Center Highway, Endicott. The Rev. Daniel Eddings, Pastor of his church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, where Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Broome County Memorial Veterans Association. The family will receive friends at the church, Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to The Friends of Hospice, Owego, NY 13827. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc. 300 East Main St., Endicott.
