Obituary of Jennifer Ayala

Jennifer Elaine Hitchcock (Ayala), Ph.D. Of Apalachin Jennifer Elaine Hitchcock (Ayala), Ph.D., 33, went home to her beloved Lord, November 1, 2007, after a long lifetime battle with Muscular Dystrophy. She was predeceased by her biological father, Samuel Fred Hitchcock. Jennifer is survived by her dad, Randy Mallery; her mother, Judy Hitchcock; two brothers, Fred Glenn Hitchcock and Jill Kerber and children, Apalachin, Wade Carl Hitchcock, Colorado; sister, Elisa Marie Mallery, Maryland; her beloved menagerie of animal companions; and her best friend, maternal grandmother, Marguerite Lundgren. Thank you to her aides and angels, Nadia Anisimov and Judy Denato, your love and care helped her through so much. Jennifer, despite the sometimes overwhelming obstacles thrown at her, embraced a life full of generosity, learning and teaching. This spring, she received a PH.D. from SUNY Binghamton and was currently working on numerous writing and creative projects. Funeral and Interment Services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., St. Rt. 434, Apalachin. The Rev. Mark Traver will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jennifer Hitchcock Scholarship Fund, c/o First Liberty Bank, Rt. 858, PO Box 413, Little Meadows, Pa. 18830. Jennifer inspired many people all over the country through unfailing spirit and abiding faith. Jen, may you fly free with the angels and run fast against the wind.
