Obituary of Marjorie Mason

Marjorie S. Mason Of Endicott Marjorie Mason, 94, of Endicott passed away Saturday morning, December 22, 2007, at the Susquehanna Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center after a short stay. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, George Mason in 1981 and two loving cats, Rosie and Bootsie. She is survived by Lynn Epstein, Endicott, NY (husband Larry), Lea Tartanian, Endwell, NY (husband, David) Dawn and Anthony Salvatore (children, Samantha and Steven), Jay Henderson, Endwell, NY; Julie and Phil Angarone, Hamilton, NJ (children, Benjamin and Robert), Neil Eldred, Binghamton, NY (wife, Kimberly, children, Nathaniel, Austin, Everett, Tia); close friends, Nellie Howard, Marion Holland, Marian Kitchin, Betty Powell, Sharon Ackley; as well as her neighbors and many friends. She was a devoted member of the Union Presbyterian Church and treasurer of the church, treasurer of Riverside Cemetery, member of the Old Village of Union Historical Society, a member of the DeRuyter Chapter O.E.S. since 1932, and a 1935 graduate of Syracuse University where she received a Bachelor Degree of Music and a license to teach music and history in public school. The family thanks the staff at the Susquehanna Nursing Home for the wonderful compassion and care given to Marge during her stay. We are full of gratitude to Pat Raube, Pastor of the Union Presbyterian Church, for her faithful visits to Marge during her illness. Marges greatest gift was the gift of hospitality. Friends and family dropped in to see her frequently. Marge also loved sending and receiving greeting cards throughout the year on birthdays and holidays. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott with Rev. Arthur Suggs officiating. The family will receive friends at Coleman & Daniels from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Union Presbyterian Church, 200 East Main St., Endicott, NY 13760.
