Obituary of Aiko Walter
Aiko Walter of Brackney, Pa.
Aiko Walter, 60, of Brackney, Pa., passed away January 26, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends after an extended illness. Aiko was born in Muroran Hokkaido, Japan and moved to the United States in 1970. She is predeceased by her father, Masujiro Inoue, Japan. She is survived by her mother, Kimie Inoue, Japan; two brothers and one sister, Japan. Aiko is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ronald Walter, Brackney; one daughter, Monica Walter-Byrne and husband, Robert, Vestal; one son, Jeffrey Walter and wife, Robyn, Brackney; four grandchildren, Mitchell and Maverick Byrne, Vestal, Leanne and Miranda Walter, Brackney. Aiko was previously employed with Thom Norton Bingo Company, Brackney, and McIntosh Labs, Conklin. Aiko's illness extended over a period of five years in which she received extraordinary care from her immediate family and caregivers, Nancy Brand, Tanya Ross, Pat Palumbo, Julie Brand and Abigail Evans. She was an extremely strong-willed woman, a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Upon the request of the family there will be no calling hours. Services in celebration of her life will be held at The McKinley at Huron Campus, 1701 North Street, Endicott, NY 13760 on Wednesday, February 13th, 2008, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
