Obituary of Louis J. Hurbis

Louis J. Hurbis Jr. of Endwell Louis J. Hurbis Jr., of Endwell, went to be with his Lord Monday, February 11, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes, Binghamton. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Louis Hurbis. He is survived by his wife, Rosalind; sons, Louis III and Kim, Binghamton, Steve, Endwell; four stepchildren, Diane and David Moss, Birdsboro, Pa., Paul and Carey Kiekel, Don Kiekel and Kathy, Roy and Kim Kiekel, all of Binghamton; grandchildren, Louis and Nicole, Holly and Aubrey; 12 step grandchildren; two sisters, Clair and Mike Cipar, Carol and Allen Frost; several nieces and nephews. Louis was a lifelong dairy farmer and owned and operated his farm in Endwell. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Bethesda Bible Church. He was an avid hunter and gun collector and loved the outdoors and attending auctions. He was loved by many friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday at the Bethesda Bible Church, 1115 Middle Stella Ireland Rd., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905. The Rev. Fletcher Chapin, Pastor of the church, will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church 10:00 to 12:00 Noon Saturday. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the church.
