Obituary of Joseph Prosch

Joseph W. Proschof Endicott Joseph W. Prosch, 79, of Endicott, died Friday morning, February 15, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Prosch; and his first wife, Mildred (Messina) Prosch. He is survived by his wife, Marian Mitchell Prosch, Endicott; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. and Lori Prosch, Melbourne, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Clair Bush, Vestal; granddaughters, Adriane and Andrew Broczkowski and Carrie and Chris Sheffield; stepson and his wife, Gary and Karen Mitchell, Rochester; grandson, Collin and Tracy Mitchell, Philadelphia; stepdaughter and her husband, Barbara and Darrell Brannon, Edinboro, Pa.; grandson, Matt Brannon, California; granddaughter, Krista Brannon, Edinboro, Pa.; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Laverne Lewis, N.C.; also several nieces and nephews. Joseph was a retired employee of General Electric and was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School. Joe is a 55 year member and Past Master of Johnson City Unity Lodge #970 F&AM. Joe was a mentor and teacher of young Masons and an exceptional ritualist. He and his father were one of the first fathers and sons to be Masters of the Lodge. Joe was also a member of the Otsinengo Bodies AASR, Valley of Binghamton and is a member of Kalurah Shriners. Joe was very active in Masonic activities and enjoyed playing in the Masonic golf league, the Masonic bowling league and Friday morning card games. He was also an avid fisherman. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. William Prentice, Pastor of Campville United Methodist Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
