Obituary of Marion N Kitchen

Marion Nelson Kitchin Of Birmingham, Alabama Marion Nelson Kitchin passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama. She is predeceased in death by Paul Dorsey Nelson and Stuart Kitchin. Survivors include daughter, Dorsa Ann (David) Sherman, Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Sherman (Carla), Valley Cottage, NY, Mark Sherman, Brazil, Ind., Kirsten (Greg) Haynes, Lafayette, Ind.; great-grandchild, Caroline Sherman; stepsons, Paul Dorsey Nelson, N.C., and Jack Nelson, Md; sisters, Elva Kee, Johnson City, NY and Jean Davis, Fl. She attended West Chester State College, Pa, and received her B.S. and M.S. at Cortland University, teaching in the U-E School System until retirement. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and several organizations including the Audubon Society, Garden Club, Sewing Bee, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a docent at Roberson Memorial. Funeral and interment services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Union Presbyterian Church, 200 East Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Patricia Raube, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Association Central New York Chapter, 100 Metropolitan Park Drive Suite 400, Liverpool, NY 13088.
