Obituary of James Shea

James Sheaof Endwell, N.Y. James Shea, 79, died Friday, February 22nd, at his home. Jim was predeceased by his mother, Alletta Shea; father, Daniel Shea; brother, Jerry Shea; mother-in-law, Ida Harvey; father-in-law, Alton Harvey; and his beloved grandson, Jim (Sully) Sullivan. Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 61 years, Maxine (Harvey) Shea; his daughter, Patricia Sullivan; son, Harvey Shea and wife, Ruth; daughter, Joanne Tatusko and husband, Philip; daughter, Cathy Swetitch and husband, Michael; daughter, Sandi Hulbert and husband, Rob; brother, Danny Shea and wife, Betty, Florida; several nieces and nephews; his best friends, Bob Donovan, Endicott, and cousin, Jim Shea, New Jersey. Jim was also blessed with wonderful, caring grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step grandchildren (25 in all). He was a very caring and loving grandfather, husband and father, and his family was his greatest joy. The family will receive friends at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott, Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. A private memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations, please make them to the American Red Cross, 620 East Main St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760, or to the USO World Headquarters, Department WS, P.O. Box 96860, Washington, D.C. 20090-6860, in honor of Jim's grandson, who is serving in Iraq.
