Obituary of Phyllis R Edwards

Of Endicott Phyllis R. Edwards, 81, of Endicott, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, William L. and Alene Reynolds. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald O. Edwards, Endicott; her children and their spouses, Susanne and Terry McLain, Endicott, Donald W. and Cynthia Edwards, Chenango Bridge, Donna and Craig Harrington, Hoover, Ala., and Cynthia and Tim Harris, Owego. She is also survived by her grandchildren, SSG Christopher P. McLain, US Army in Iraq, Robert M. and Charlene McLain, Pa., Donald W. Edwards, Jr., Jeri Anne & Greg McKeon, Binghamton, Robert J. and Jessica Edwards, US Army, Fort Hood, TX., Staci & Roger Miller, Vestal, Jessica & Trey Chamblee, Hoover, Ala., Joshua Pierce and Lucas Pierce, both of Owego. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; her sister, Irene Jackson; brothers, William and James Reynolds and their spouses; sister-in-law, Madge Williams; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Anita Edwards; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the West Endicott Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Endicott-Johnson Corporation and Esther Immermans Dress Shop in Endicott. The family would like to thank the employees at the Skylark Diner in Vestal and the Vestal EMS and Lourdes ER staff for their kindness. Maudi, youll be in our hearts forever. We love you and miss you. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Robert McGhee, Pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the West Endicott Baptist Church.
