Richard J. Hausof Endicott
Richard J. Haus, 74, of Endicott, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Haus. He is survived by a son and daughter, James R. Haus and daughter-in-law, Joanne, Endicott, Cheryl Bare and son-in-law, Jerald, Northampton, Pa.; two grandchildren, Shannon Fedorwich and her fiance, Richard Sharpe, and Justin Haus and his girlfriend, Cassie; one great-grandson, Britain Sharpe. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Haus, Owego; and two sisters, Martha Depew, Chemung, and Eleanor Burns, Elmira. Predeceased by siblings, Raymond, Archie, Jr., Donald, Katherine, Dorothy, and Helen. He was retired from Endicott Machine & Tool Company after 40 years. He helped as a West Corners Little League coach and loved to fish and hunt. He was also an avid auto and horse racing fan.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Susan Davis, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
