Obituary of Donald L. Krissell

Donald L. Krissell of Vestal Donald L. Krissell of Vestal passed away peacefully the evening of March 6th at Willow Point Nursing Home. Don was predeceased by his parents, Leo Krissell and Frances Krissell Jones, and a very dear sister, Marjorie Krissell Slavick. Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Jane Colwell Krissell, a sister Katherine and Roger Camp of Glen Castle. Also surviving are his children, John J. Krissell of Endwell, Laurie and Rick Bennett of Little Meadows, Julie Krissell of Johnson City, Steve and Wenona Krissell of Binghamton and Kathleen and Nick Tise of Durham, North Carolina; also seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Don was a graduate of Binghamton Central H.S., served 4 years in the Army/Air Force then worked at Columbia gas, now known as NYSEG, for 35 years where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 50 years. Don was a very devoted and supportive family man. His family wishes to thank the staff at both Wilson and Willow Point Nursing Home, North Two, for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Broome County Humane Society. Funeral Services for Donald will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St. Endicott on Tuesday, March 10th at 11:00 AM. The family will receive their friends on Monday from 5 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
