She was born June 2, 1915 in Shelbina, Mo. Her whole life was her family, her home, and her love and faith in God. She found great joy in giving to and doing for others, a true Christian woman. She rode a horse and buggy 9 miles to graduate from high school. She took her last horse-back ride at age 85. She loved the corn fields of Lancaster, Pa. and was reminded of her Shelby County, Mo. home. She was loving and spirited and enjoyed her Irish humor. She loved her gardens with flocks of birds. She was the Last Charter Member of Memorial Park Baptist Church, Vestal. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal. The Revs. Terry and Marlene Steenburg will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery, Vestal at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at James G. Johnston Nursing Home for their kind and loving care during her short stay there, especially Ron, Amber, Laura, Mary and Beth. Thank you for loving her when we couldn't be there.
