Obituary of Mary J. Letson

Mary Bishop Letsonof Vestal Mary Bishop Letson, of Vestal, quietly passed this plane on March 24, 2008. She was born on June 25, 1917 in Clyde, N.Y. Mary was predeceased by her husband, George M. Letson, of 60 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Hughes, Texas, and Virginia Nodzo, Endicott. Mary has five grandchildren, Donna Rae Klingaman, Ginny Rae Joy, Rob Manville, Barry Manville and Gina Manville; also seven great-grandchildren, Journey Rae, Summer Lyn, Stone Delbert Klingaman, Kennedy Rae, Cody Ryan, Caden Ryder Joy and Summer Star Manville. Mary was employed by the Binghamton City School District as an elementary school teacher for 19 years. She enjoyed creating a lovely home for her family and will be tenderly remembered and missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends Saturday morning, March 29, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The service for Mary will follow at 10:30 a.m. Mary's son-in-law, the Rev. Father Donald Hughes, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the wonderful hospice friends and to the South Tower 4 floor nurses, the aides and staff of Wilson Hospital who all gave freely of their healing gifts to our mother and grandmother.
