Obituary of Shirley J Klein
Shirley J. (Sherry) Kleinof Binghamton
Shirley J. (Sherry) Klein, 61, of Binghamton, and formerly of New York City, died unexpectedly Monday, March 31, 2008, at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Jewel and George Mather; a sister, Gerilynn Escott; and her in-laws, Leo and Flora Klein. She is survived by her husband, Barry Klein, Manhattan, N.Y.; her son, Michael Klein, California; two sisters, Marcia Pollock and Phyllis Mather; a brother-in-law, Calvin Klein and a sister-in-law, Alexis Klein; nieces and nephews, Marci Klein, Bonnie and husband, Scott Forconi, Warren Rincavage and his partner, Tom McNamara, Jeffrey and wife, Janna Rincavage, Heather and husband, Michael Vita, Kimberly Danks and Jon Danks; great-nieces, Saralynn and Katilynn Forconi, Cassandra Rincavage and Carolyn Vita; and also by her beloved cat, Jade. She enjoyed culture, nature, reading, and volunteering her time at STAP and the Gay Men's Health Crisis in New York City.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 11, 2008, at 4 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Susan Davis, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Endicott, will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 3 p.m. until service time at 4. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to STAP, 122 Baldwin St., Johnson City, N.Y., or to the Gay Men's Health Crisis at www.GMHC.org
