LaVerna E. Mullenof Vestal CenterLaVerna E. Mullen, 86, of Vestal Center, went into the arms of the Lord peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital joining many family and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph J. Mullen; her parents, Bertha and Mahlon Pease; one sister, Naomi Pease. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley and Dina Mullen, Apalachin, Timothy and Brenda Mullen, Vestal; one daughter, LaVerna Cook, Wilmington, N.C.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Pease, Glen Aubrey, N.Y., David and Shirley Pease, Apalachin, Gerald and Mary Pease, Charlotte, N.C., Larry Pease, Endicott; also many nieces and nephews. LaVerna was a longstanding member of the First Baptist Church of Vestal. A Funeral Service for LaVerna will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Robert Schmidt, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Vestal, will officiate. Burial will be in the Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank the staff at the Willow Point Nursing Home for their time and patience they devoted to LaVerna's care.
