Obituary of Anne M Whitaker

Anne M. Whitaker of Apalachin Anne M. Whitaker, 89, of Apalachin, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna Krasko; and her husband, Robert in 1991. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert F. and Janice Whitaker, Firth, NE, Richard and Dorothy Whitaker, Charlotte, NC, and Gary D. Whitaker, Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Tina Whitaker Booton and Robert L. and Steven A. Whitaker; also eight great-grandchildren. She is survived by several brothers and sisters from a first generation immigrant family, also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Candor. She was an avid bird watcher and a member of the Bird Club. Funeral and Interment Services will be held Wednesday at 12 Noon from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., St. Rte. 434, Apalachin. Pastor Kevin Dunn, Pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in Broadway Cemetery, Owego, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Adventist Disaster Relief Agency, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904-9869.
