Obituary of Gerald D. Champaign
Gerald D. Champaign of Apalachin Gerald D. Champaign passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Absolut, Endicott. He was born on April 14, 1935 to Ernest and Mildred Champaign. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara of Apalachin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Penny Champaign and their son, Chad; Douglas and Teriece Champaign and their son, Joshua; one daughter, Patricia Bate and her children, Lynn Yarmy, Lisa Beebe, Eric Bate, Caitlin and Danielle Trumbach; two great grandsons, Owen and Riley; one brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Cynthia Champaign, a sister-in-law, Beverly Frake, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Patricia Eilenberger. Jerry was a retired I.B.M. employee with thirty-two years of service and a member of the I.B.M. Century Club. He was an avid hockey fan and a member of the Binghamton Hockey Booster Club since the Dusters. He was a former member of the Binghamton Boating Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his vegetable garden and trips to Atlantic City. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service for Jerry will be held 11 AM, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Tower of Memories Chapel in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal. Interment will follow the service. Arrangements are by Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc. St. Rt. 434 Apalachin, NY.
