Obituary of Evelyn Ann Yurkovich

Evelyn A. Yurkovichof Vestal Center Evelyn A. Yurkovich, 63, of Vestal Center, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. She was predeceased by her parents, Irving and Julia Trusky; her husband, Stephen Yurkovich; a sister, Rose Marie Opeka; and a nephew, Jesse Trusky. She is survived by her partner of 15 years, Gary "Jake" Traver, Vestal Center; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Yurkovich and Jeffrey and Laurie Yurkovich, Endicott; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Tom Crotsley, Vestal, and Julia and Lee Sheridan, Babylon, N.Y.; a brother and sister-in-law, Irving and Joann Trusky, Honey Brook, Pa.; a niece, Theresa Opeka; her grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, Dustin, Carlie, Chelsea and Jackson. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal, and had worked for the Broome County Board of Elections. She loved her plants and gardening, painting, antiques and her books. She was an avid cook and baker. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 157 Clark St., Vestal. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Main St., Vestal.
