Obituary of John Ronald Stanley

John R. Stanley, 88, died Thursday, June 3, 2008, at the Cabrini Medical Center in NYC, N.Y. He was the beloved widower of Gladys Stanley. He is survived by his son, Dale Stanley, Peru; his daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn Stanley and Kudret Oztap, NYC; his two grandchildren, Julide Oztap, a graduate of Cornell University, Hakan Oztap, attending University of Richmond. He honorably served in the Navy in WWII and was a loyal IBM employee for over 30 years, a dedicated husband to his wife, and a gentle person with highest integrity. We will miss his smile and blue eyes.Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Tower Chapel, Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal. The Rev. Susan E. Davis will officiate. Those wishing may make donations to Hilltop SNF, 286 Deyo Hill, Johnson City, N.Y. 13760. Arrangements are by the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, N.Y.
