Obituary of Mary A. Hyde

Mary A. (Pike) Hyde Of Endicott Mary A. (Pike) Hyde, 84, passed at her home to the sound of fireworks on the evening of July 4th. She was predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth and Phyllis. Mary is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Arthur; her son Bryan Hyde; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Tom Diosy, her nephews, Robert Ball, Gary Ball, Jim Ball, Ron Ball, Ron Hyde, Jim Hyde; nieces Pam Cosner, Janice Hyde, great nieces Susanna Filanowski and Katie Sullivan, great-great nephew, Gray Filanowski and her grandkids, Cubby, Nikki and Mike. Mary was an avid golfer, long time member of En-Joie Golf Course and most recently a member at Newark Valley Golf Course. She was a skilled seamstress, knitter, baker and cook. Mary regularly lent a hand to anyone in need and a big support to friends during hard times. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and an active member within the church. Mary was deeply loved by her family and a multitude of friends and she will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at the Union Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 19, at 11:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Union Presbyterian Church, Hospice or the Leukemia Research Foundation.
