Obituary of Sherrill Reynolds

Sherrill L. Reynoldsof Vestal Sherrill Lawrio Hartquist Reynolds, 70, of Vestal, went to her Lord peacefully, Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City. She was born February 19, 1938 in Endicott, and was predeceased by her parents, D. Maurine Lawrio and Leslie L. Lawrio. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Reynolds, Vestal; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Penny Hartquist; grandchildren, Trevor Hartquist and Kylee Hartquist, all of Endicott; sisters, Carol Lawrio, Connie and Steve Yourst, Vestal; nephew, Matt Yourst, California; stepchildren, Hunter Reynolds, Mark and Florintina Reynolds, Tasha Reynolds Sullivan and her daughter, Terra Sullivan, Brian and Anndree Reynolds and their daughters, Baylee and Kirra. Sherrill was the Musical Director at the Cider Mill Playhouse in Endicott, for over 20 years. She was the piano player that provided the music for many musicals, including Fiddler on the Roof. She played piano and organ for church services at Memorial Park Baptist Church for many years. She was a graduate of Vestal High School, Class of 1956. She attended her 40th class reunion in 1996, where she met her classmate and friend, Bob Reynolds. After a short courtship, they were married on June 5, 1996. Sherrill attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. Sherrill's life was her family, friends, and those needing a friend. She was well respected and loved by many who enjoyed her music, and sadly must say, so long Sherrill, see you at the top. Special thanks to the Doctors and nurses at ICU Wilson Memorial Hospital for their loving kindness and care, and to her special friends, Lois Rose, Claus and Esther Evans. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the Memorial Park Baptist Church, 1013 Front St., Vestal. The Rev. Marlene Steenburg, Pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal.
