Obituary of Harold Trimm

Harold D. Trimm of Binghamton Harold D. Trimm Jr., 86, of Binghamton, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold D. and Mildred W. Trimm, and his brother, Robert Trimm. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Eileen Russell Trimm; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Gerald Ganz, NYC; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Barbara Trimm, Greene; four grandchildren, Jon Ganz and wife Lara, Jason Ganz, Erik Lasky and Bryan Trimm; and a great-grandson, Callum Ganz. Harold was a retired detective in the NYPD and a lifetime member of the Masons. He was a World War II veteran in the US Coast Guard and served in the Pacific. He was best known in the family as a poet. Funeral services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Kensico Cemetery, White Plains, NY. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory can be made to the Policeman's Benevolent Association of Binghamton, 38 Hawley St., Binghamton, NY 13901 or a charity of one's choice.
