Obituary of Mary Lou Wheeler

Mary Lou Wheeler Mary Lou Wheelerof VestalMary Lou Wheeler, of Vestal, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father, James E. Steele Sr. She is survived by her children, Brandon, Lucas, and Tara Wheeler, all of Vestal; her mother, Mary Steele, Waterloo, N.Y.; one brother, James E. Steele Jr.; three sisters, C. Anne Stahr, Karen M. Krenzer, Christina Steele-Kurtin; also many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Lou was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Vestal, and a 20-year employee of the Vestal Central School District, working as an Administrative Assistant in Personnel. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and colleagues.In keeping with Mary Lou's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Mary Lou, which will be offered at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Interment will be at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1942.
