Obituary of Francis Kocian

Frank Kocian of Apalachin Francis (Frank) Kocian, 91, of Apalachin, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn; and a grandson, David Kocian. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Ursula Kocian, Wisconsin, Lee and Norma Kocian, Joseph and Pat Kocian; a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Robert Carberry, Florida; seven grandchildren, Greg and his wife, Kelly Carberry, Christopher Carberry, Kim and her husband, Chuck Smith, Joseph and his wife, Debbie Kocian, Michele, Kevin and Scott Kocian; a granddaughter-in-law, Dawn Kocian Graham; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Waterman, Texas; also several nieces and nephews. Frank was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army; a retired employee of IBM and a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Apalachin United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at the Ideal Senior Living Center for their loving care. A funeral service for Frank will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., St. Rt. 434, Apalachin, N.Y. The Rev. William Prentice, Pastor of the Campville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin.
