Obituary of Mildred Leona Hakes

Mildred L. "Millie" Hakes Mildred L. "Millie" Hakes, 86, of Apalachin, went to be with her Lord Tuesday June 3, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Hakes and all of her siblings. She is survived by her four children, Charles E. (Paula) Hakes, Patty Lee Hakes, Robert F. Hakes, Debra J. (Craig) Reynolds; two grandchildren, Krysta L. (Patrick) Bidwell and Shawn C. Hakes; three great grandchildren, Airman Patrick J. Bidwell, Alexis V. Bidwell, and Katie Shea Hakes. Millie was a member of the Owego Moose and the Owego VFW. She loved cooking, reading her cookbooks and cooking magazines, playing Bingo and taking care of her family. A funeral service will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Rt. 434, Apalachin, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. Alan Jagger, Pastor of Owego United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
