Obituary of David Martinez

Maj. David Martinez, M.D. Apalachin: Maj. David Martinez, M.D. 52 of Apalachin, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 13th 2014. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, John and Daniel, and sister, Jane. Surviving David are: his loving wife of 28 years, Debra; sons, Michael, Greggory (Sara), and John; parents, Jose and Grace; and sisters, Laura, Patricia (Joseph) George, Teresa (Peter) Hernandez, and Victoria. He is also survived by many family members, including nieces, nephews and a granddaughter due in September. David served in the United States Air Force for 11 years, achieving the rank of Major. He has been working as a nephrologist in the community for many years. In his spare time David enjoyed spending time with family, cycling, running, and horseback riding. Services for David will be held at St. Margaret Mary's Church on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin on Wednesday, June 18th at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC. 6519 Route 434 Apalachin, Tuesday June 17th from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to Southern Tier Alternative Therapies.
