Obituary of Shirley Birdsall

Apalachin: Shirley M. Birdsall, 84, of Apalachin was peacefully lifted to her final resting place Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014. She was greeted by her parents Andrew and Mable Spence and her husband Howard D. Birdsall; her brother, sisters and Great Grand Son. Shirley is survived by sons Randy (Kimberly), Roger, Ronald (Linda) Birdsall, grandchildren; Amanda (Mike) Cappelli, Justin Birdsall, Jarrod Birdsall, Ashley (Mark) Peel, Stephanie (Jim) Hosmer, Terry (Andrew) Ritchie, Amy (David) Adams and Seth Wheatley; as well as 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. Shirley retired from the Vestal Central School District as a school bus monitor and was formally employed by Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory. She visited the Vestal Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed taking trips all over the country. Shirley loved animals of all kinds especially her feline friends throughout the years. Final farewells will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 765 Main Street, Vestal, NY, Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:00p.m. Calling hours will be from 11am-1pm prior to the service. A special thanks for the loving care given by the staff at Elderwood Nursing Facility.
