Thank you to all of John and my friends - haven't seen some in over 20 years, from Philly to Sullivan County. I cannot express how we feel, just utter shock and an empty space in our lives. John tried to live his life to the fullest, I hope he succeeded. John's father, Edwin, passed away in 2009. I now live in FL. Adam and his family live in Susq. County, Pa.
God Bless Us, Every One. John's mother - Gerry Skoczylas

Dear Gerry and Adam: I cannot find words that can tell u how I feel. I can still hear Joe telling Johnny "Johnny go spacz" at a very early age ad when Johnny was real young, he would look at Joe and say "NO". I have pictures of u and Johnny fooling around in our pool--I think u enjoyed it more than Dottie and Joe as it was always there. How many times Joey went up the mountains with you and he always loved it. The summer before I moved to MD. John and a few of his friends came up most Saturdays during the summer and cleaned up the back. I usually bought them a case of beer and one Saturday, I told him to take it with them and put it in the truck and he laughed and said "No Aunt Dot we better not do that".
I like remembering these episodes as it brings a smile instead of another tear. Iknow I'm pretty far away but I am here if I can help in any way. Love, Aunt Dot

Dear Aunt Gerry and Adam
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Johnny was a loyal, hard working, and trusting friend. He was always there to help if we needed it. I miss those early years so much....building forts in the woods, playing baseball, swimming. So many memories fishing, hiking along the Loyalsock Creek, going to Macks for pizza. It was magic. We had wonderful times and hope to see Johnny again and do it all over again.
Love.
Joe.

So, so sorry for your loss. Even though I haven't seen Johnny in about 20 years, I have many fond memories of our childhoods. I grew up three doors away and Johnny always made things exciting! You will be missed.
