Obituary of Edward J. Haggerty
Binghamton: Edward Haggerty, 87, of Binghamton, passed away at Wilson Hospital on Tuesday, December 23rd. He was born on December 9th, 1927. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret Haggerty and 7 brothers and sisters. He was also predeceased by two of his children, William and Mary and son-in-law, Dan. Edward is survived by his children, Denise (Bob) Broughton and Marlene Vymislicky, and his grandchildren Dan (Bridgette), Joe (Tina), and Tom (Dorrie). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He worked for many years on construction. Edward was a member of the American Legion, Post 1700. He was a Corporal in the United States Army and a veteran of both World War ll and Korea. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and being outdoors. Edward's greatest love was spending time with his daughters and their families. He was strongly independent and remained so until his death. The family will receive friends at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott, from 2-5 P.M. On Sunday, December 28th. Just in case, Dad, and don't forget. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1 PM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home LLC,300 East Main St, Endicott. The Rev. Clarence Cerwonka pastor of Most Holy Rosary Church,Maine will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City with full military Honors.
