Obituary of Robert W. Laman

Binghamton: Robert Laman (Bob), age 66 went to be with the Lord Thursday morning after a long battle with prostate and bone cancer on February 5th at his home. Bob was born in Binghamton, NY on June 30, 1948. Bob was predeceased by his parents Robert & June Laman and by his dog & best friend Shadow. He is survived by his wife, Kay Laman; two sons, Robert (Jackie) Laman and Kevin Laman; four grandchildren, Nicole (Derrick) West, Amanda Laman, Jenni Lyn (Brian) Laman and Dustin R. (Brianna) Laman; and four great grandchildren; his brother, Doug (Shirley) Laman; his sister, Sandy Rosati; many nieces & nephews; and special friend Dale (Bugsy) Brown. Bob was a successful contractor for many years serving the local areas. Bob had a passion for country line dancing and he loved to collect and restore old cars. Bob was an avid race car fan as he also drove race cars at several local tracks like 5 Mile Point, Penn Cann and Shangra-La. A special thanks to Erin Thilliph for the kind and loving care she provided Bob and special thanks to Doug, Shirley and Sandy for all that you did to help our dad. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 14th at 12pm at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St, Vestal, NY. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11am until service time at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St, Binghamton, NY 13903.
