Obituary of Bonnie Shook

Apalachin: Bonnie Shook, 77, of Apalachin passed away on Friday February 6th 2015. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Rudy and Carma Kumnick. Bonnie graduated from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, OH and attended Bowling Green University (OH) prior to settling in Apalachin, NY in 1972. For 35 years Bonnie was a proud active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority where she held several offices. As a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Vestal she enjoyed volunteering. She was a member of the choir, a past president of LWML, a superintendent of the Sunday School and served on the Pre-School committee. Also, she loved bowling and was in a league at Midway Lanes for many years. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William (Bill) Shook; daughter, Kimberly Harchar of Binghamton; son, Wayne Shook of New Orleans; granddaughter, Jessica Harchar; great granddaughter, Annabeth Craig, and extended family Robert Kumnick CA, Charles Kumnick MI, and Patricia (Shook) Kainulainen AL. Calling hours will be held Friday 5-7pm at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home on 300 E. Main, Endicott and Saturday 9:30 - 10:30AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 701 Main, Vestal. The funeral service will follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
