Obituary of Helen J. Barton

Helen Jean (Phillips) Barton of Endicott, born July 10, 1929, and died February 19, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lillian Phillips, and Homer and Lulu Barton; her grandson, Keith D Barton; brothers, Joseph and John Phillips; sister, Irene (Phillips) Honnick; and sons-in-law, Tony Monforte, and Roman Powaluk. She is survived by her husband, George H Barton; her children, Rebecca Monforte, Kirk (Gayle) Barton, Kathy Creeley, Sandra Powaluk, Susan (James) Testa, Douglas (Elaine) Barton and Daniel (Kristy) Barton; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother, Gene Phillips; sister, Viola Cerra; sisters-in-law, Vivian Purdy and Joyce Mathias. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, CNY Chapter, 401 Hayes Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
