Obituary of Anne M. Ziemba

Endwell: Anne M. Ziemba, 84, of Endwell, passed away peacefully to be in her Heavenly Home on February 18, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley A. Ziemba, and her infant son, Martin; her parents, Cyrill & Rose Kotek; sister, Lena Carroll; brothers Cyril and Stanley Kodey. She is survived by her devoted children - two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Rose Ziemba of Anchorage, AK; Monica & Douglas Egnaczyk of Manlius, NY; and son and daughter-in-law, John & Laura Ziemba of Middleton, NH; also her grandchildren: Shawn, Emily & Daniel Freitas, John & Julia Egnaczyk, and Samuel & Nicholas Ziemba; and great-grandson, Tannen Boothroyd. Anne is survived by sister, Mary Mahony of California; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bert Kodey, Joseph & Betty Kodey, Lorraine Kodey, Josephine Ziemba, all of Endwell, and Louise Kozol of NYC; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anne was a stockbroker for many years for Instant Funds, Inc. and also Cheevers, Hand & Angeline, and previously worked at General Electric Co., and Crucible Steel Co. Anne was a member of St. Joseph's Church and its Altar Rosary Society, volunteered for its many functions, and also volunteered for Lourdes Hospital. She was a member of Czechoslovak Moravan Club. Anne's greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family and friends; she enjoyed her monthly GE lunch bunch group as well as her U-E reunion class of '48 committee. She especially enjoyed their camp in Inlet, NY in the Adirondacks. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Church, 207 Hayes Ave., Endicott at 11am on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Rev. Charles Opondo-Owora Pastor of St. Joseph's and Rev. Cliff Auth will co-officiate. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph's Church from 9:30am until Mass time at 11am. Altar Rosary Society will meet for the Rosary at 9am. Burial will be at Maine Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
