Obituary of Marilyn J Steinmetz

Marilyn J. Steinmetz of Endicott Marilyn J. Steinmetz, 68, of Endicott, died Sunday morning April 5, 2009. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Edith Maxfield, sister Alice Sweitzer, and a brother Edward Maxfield. She is survived by three children Myra Vaninwegen of Cambridge England, Bert Vaninwegen of Endicott, and Elizabeth Steinmetz of Endicott; two grandchildren Ellen and Luke; two sisters Ellen Fogle, of Newark Valley, Lucille Roberts of Vestal; several nieces and nephews; special friend Bernie Huff, of Florida and Endicott. She was a member of the AARP. She was an employee of the Broome Developmental Center with 20 years of service and a former employee of both Lourdes and Wilson Hospitals. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1:30pm from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Robert McGehee pastor of the West Endicott Baptist Church will officiate. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
